The Ridge Okotoks

We hosted a dinner party at The Ridge for a group of our close friends and it was absolutely incredible. The four course meal was amazing and honestly some of the best food we have ever had in Canada. Each course was perfectly paired with a wine and the chef gave a beautiful summary of each pairing before we started each course. Randy took care of all the planning, including the most beautiful table setting. We would highly recommend booking The Ridge for any special occasion when you would like a first class dining experience. Our guests and us were all blown away by the quality of service.

We can’t say enough about our stay at The Ridge. We spent the night after having our wedding reception there. The food was amazing, so fresh, the chef/owner Xavier Lacaze is a genius with his food pairings and presentation, the food was so delicious and all our guests raved about it. The atmosphere of the dining room was beautiful, just the right ambiance for our celebration. Our rooms were beautifully made up, bed was very comfortable and bedding smelt amazing. We had use of the common area with water, coffee/tea supplied, and the view of the Rocky Mountains, amazing. We highly recommend staying here. Also, they have Pop Up Dinners that you can attend, if you are in the area, make sure you get a reservation, I know we will the next time we are in Okotoks. The Ridge is beyond comparison. The moment we arrived through the gate, up the tree lined driveway, and crossed the creek stones to get to the Solarium, we were transported to paradise. One complete with romantic ambience, fine cuisine, and 5-star service. We celebrated our 10th Anniversary here with a private dinner and I highly recommend it. Enjoy the sunset and the expansive views of the rolling Foothills. Randy made the booking process simple and exciting. Chef Xavier’s dishes were the best food ever tasted. Our server was outstanding and we so appreciated everything!

The Ridge is my favourite place in town to take my wife and family for a nice meal. The atmosphere and ambiance are amazing and Chef Xavier is the best Chef in Alberta. I have never had anything but a fantastic experience at this location, I highly recommend trying out one of their pop up dinners.

We attended a friend's wedding at The Ridge this past weekend and we are still riding the high! What a wedding it was! We had such a great time and cannot speak highly enough about the staff, the venue, and their hospitality. Both the property and the views are stunning, to say the least. The west facing views over the valley, especially at sunset, looked like a painting. The food was incredible. They have an in house michelin star chef who prepared delicious hors d'oeuvre, an exeptional dinner, and amazing late night snacks. They had several bars available on the property which helped scatter the guests and lead us to wander and really appreciate the venue. They also had a shuttle service that drove us out there from Calgary that would later return on rotation every hour until the early morning. We left feeling very grateful!I would confidentally recommend The Ridge (10/10) for a wedding or any other events. The next time I attend (probably my own wedding), I will be sure to enquire about staying the night as well.Thank you for the memorable experience! @theridgeokotoks

There isn't anything I can say that is negative about the Ridge. The most comfortable bed I have ever slept in...... the service top notched......eager to please in every way......staff were smiling and ready to make the wedding a time you will never forget..... I take my hat off to Randy, Mato, Larry, Carlos, and all staff for making my daughters weddings such a success......Momma Elllis

It was our first time visiting The Ridge for a pop-up dinner (featuring Tangle Ridge Ranch). The space itself, upstairs in one of the outbuildings, is gorgeous and intimate, and we could see the potential if we were to host an event. The dinner was delicious, which was a set menu with choices of appetizer and main dishes, and a light and airy dessert for the end. The physical location of dinner itself was a bit difficult to get to, as there was no signage or directions as to which building (of which there are several) the dinner was being held. For mobility issues, keep in mind the roadway does have some gravel but with the recent snowfall it was fairly muddy, and the dinner was held at the top of a flight of stairs, with the bathroom facilities on the ground level.

We spent the weekend at The Ridge for our son's wedding. The day was perfect from the picturesque views of the Rockies to the impeccably manicured grounds and gardens. Randy and Laura treated everyone in attendance like family. They along with their staff were friendly, courteous and accommodating to all requests. The food was unbelievable as made by Randy and Laura from the appetizers to the main course and dessert to the Sunday Brunch. The food was above and beyond anything I have ever experienced at a wedding. I would highly recommend The Ridge for any special event, staycation or dinner. There are not enough words to to say how awesome the service, venue and the people are at The Ridge. Thank you for making our son and daughter-in-law's wedding a special memory for all of us.

Just went to a pop up dinner and it far exceeded our expectations. Probably one of the best meals I have had in a long time. Honestly probably the best restaurant for food in Alberta.

We have held our annual company Christmas dinner at The Ridge for four years now. The food is always exceptional -- appetizers to soup, salad, entree, and dessert! The service is super friendly. The staff are always happy to have us and go out of their way to make us feel welcome. We will be back.
